Chicago-based PRYSM Studios brought on freelance motion designer Kenneth Hendren and myself to craft the design and animation for a new campaign for their client North Shore Bank. This project was a blast as Kenneth and I owned the production process from beginning to delivery. Kenneth owned the music editing/mixing while we split up design and animation responsibilities. This campaign was planned to be aired on paid media and social media.
It's always a great time collaborating with good friends on client projects because of the trust factor in place that both artists can carry their own weight, but can come together to build a polished final product that the client loves.
A few of my favorite shots I worked on in this campaign include the Sweeter twist where I got to mix some 3D deformers to a 2D style, some crafty kinetic type using repeaters and expressions on text layers' source text, as well as recreate how my puppy would chew up some text if he had the opportunity. The "Get A Puppy" shot proved to be more of a manual process with meticulous masking, but the use of several turbulent displace effects helped to give the edges a more frayed look.
